This year’s event is your chance to meet and dine with celebrity chef and beverage professionals like:

All of Caribbean heritage, these culinary professionals originate from Jamacia, Puerto Rico, St. Lucia, St. Croix, among other Caribbean islands, to bring their native background and years of international experience straight to your table. Can’t get enough of Restaurant week?

Experience the flavors of the Caribbean at home with a copy of The Pepperpot Diaries: Stories From My Caribbean Table — available at the Pepperpot Rum Shop — a 100-day pop-up destination featuring British chef, author, television and radio broadcaster, and former singer Andi Oliver.

Along with delicious food, the pop-up will also host curated experiences featuring music, art, and film.

But that’s not all that’s on the menu this year!

3. Special Event Calendar

No, we’re not talking about cocktails. Although there will be plenty of those as well.

Restaurant Week will also host a series of special events throughout the two-week-long celebration ranging from bonfires on the beach, to wine tastings, panel discussions and more.

The Food & Art Experience

The historic site overlooking Nelson’s Dockyard will be transformed into a food and art village where guests can be the first to collect ABRW Food passports, sample fare from participating restaurants and local food brands, watch demonstrations from visiting celebrity chefs, and explore art from local artists and makers.

Destination Food Forum: Nourishing the Future

The Food Forum is a one-day immersive event designed to gather chefs, food enthusiasts, tourism experts, hospitality leaders, and sustainability advocates.

Experts will lead insightful panel discussions on issues such as sustainability in food, supporting local producers, innovation, food trends, and more.

Caribbean night and bonfire on the beach

Guests will enjoy steelpan music, live entertainment, sundowner cocktails, passed appetizers, and a casual cookout prepared at Wild Tamarind by visiting chef Shorne Benjamin of Fat Fowl, who’s based in Brooklyn, New York, and originally from St. Lucia. Chef Angel Barreto of Anju in Washington, DC, who is of Puerto Rican heritage, will also join the lineup.

Roti master class at Loose Cannon beach bar’s School of Cooking

Chef and cookbook author Althea Brown, based in Aurora, Colorado, and originally from Guyana, will host an intimate cooking class at Loose Cannon, with cocktails that cover the history of roti, how it came to the Caribbean, and differences in preparation throughout the region. A copy of Brown’s cookbook, Caribbean Paleo, will be included with each ticket.

Launch of Pepperpot Rum Shop

Seven-course Antiguan tasting menu with cocktail pairings

Antiguan chefs Omar Nicholas and Kareem Roberts, visiting from Cambridge, United Kingdom, will use local bullfoot, tamarind, black pineapple, lionfish, and more in a meal that reimagines national cuisine at the historic estate house-turned-hotel. The collaborative five-course tasting menu will be available on two nights, with optional cocktail pairings.

“Chasing Sunset” cocktail party

Guests will enjoy live music, food stations, and chef and mixologist meet-and-greets, with a menu prepared by Blue Waters chef Michael Harrison in collaboration with visiting chef Kareem Roberts.

Multicourse Korean dinner with wine pairings

Four-time James Beard Award semifinalist and finalist, and Food & Wine Best New Chef Angel Barreto of Anju in Washington, DC will prepare a four-course Korean dinner at Carlisle Bay’s East restaurant. Sommelier Nadine Brown will pair wines with each course, while Baretto will add a signature item to East’s menu, which will be available during the month of May.

Farmers Only All-Inclusive Barnyard Party

Dubbed one of the largest local food-themed events in Antigua and Barbuda, the farmers-themed event takes place on Mother’s Day during Restaurant Week and is a display of farm-to-table experiences, local food, music, and entertainment.
